Algeria and Syria Deepen Bilateral Ties During Ministerial Meeting in Algiers

Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, hosted his Syrian counterpart, Dr. Bassel Al-Mekdad, at the Ministry's headquarters in Algiers for a significant official visit. The meeting underscored the deep-rooted historical ties and robust relationship between the two brotherly nations.

Key priority areas for collaboration were identified, encompassing energy, agriculture, mining, transportation, and professional training.

Furthermore, the Algerian and Syrian foreign ministers exchanged perspectives on regional and international issues, with particular attention to the Arab region and the African continent. They jointly emphasized the critical importance of promoting peaceful solutions to the various crises, disputes, and conflicts that pose a threat to regional and global security and stability.
