Algerian President Tebboune Engages Syrian Foreign Minister to Deepen Bilateral Ties

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria held a significant meeting on Thursday with the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Assaad Hassan Al-Chaibani, and his accompanying delegation. The discussions underscored the importance of deepening the historical and robust ties between Algeria and Syria.

During a press briefing following the audience, the Syrian Foreign Minister conveyed greetings, gratitude, and respect from Syrian President Ahmed Al-Charaa. He emphasized the strategic imperative to enhance bilateral relations across key sectors, including energy, economy, security, and investment. Minister Al-Chaibani described the meeting as "exceptional," noting President Tebboune's pronounced interest in Syria's current progress and his support for the ongoing political process within the nation.

The high-level diplomatic engagement was attended by several Algerian officials, including Mr. Brahim Merad, Minister of State for General Inspection of State Services and Local Authorities; Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs; Mr. Amar Abba, Diplomatic Advisor to the President; and General Rochdi Fethi Moussaoui, Director-General of Documentation and External Security.
