The meeting comes as a strategic follow-up to the historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed yesterday between Sonatrach, Algeria's national oil and gas company, and VNG AG. This landmark agreement aims to explore new and innovative avenues for joint collaboration, particularly in the burgeoning fields of green hydrogen and ammonia. Furthermore, the partnership will focus on concrete measures to reduce harmful methane emissions, aligning with Algeria's broader energy transition objectives and its pursuit of sustainable development.

This initiative positions Algeria to further solidify its role as a regional energy hub, emphasizing its commitment to embracing advanced energy solutions and contributing to global sustainability efforts.
