Oil Prices Extend Gains for a Third Consecutive Session on Supply Concerns

Global oil prices climbed by more than one percent during Wednesday’s trading session, extending gains for a third consecutive day as growing concerns over potential supply disruptions continued to support the market.
According to energy market data, Brent crude futures rose by 1.03 percent to reach $91.95 per barrel by 05:52 GMT. The benchmark crude maintained its upward momentum amid increasing uncertainty over global supplies and expectations of tighter market conditions.
At the same time, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures advanced by 0.92 percent, trading at $85.12 per barrel.
The latest gains were driven by fears that additional disruptions to global oil supplies could tighten the market in the coming weeks. Traders continued to monitor geopolitical developments and other factors that may affect production and exports from key oil-producing regions.
The rally also reflected cautious sentiment among investors, who remain focused on supply risks while assessing the balance between global demand and production levels. Market participants have closely followed developments that could influence the availability of crude oil and contribute to further price volatility.
Higher crude prices are closely watched by governments, businesses and financial markets because they directly affect fuel costs, transportation expenses and inflation. Sustained increases in oil prices can also influence energy policies and economic growth in both producing and importing countries.
Analysts noted that continued uncertainty surrounding global energy supplies has encouraged buying activity in the futures market, helping both major crude benchmarks maintain their upward trend.
Brent crude remains the international benchmark used to price most of the world’s oil exports, while West Texas Intermediate serves as the principal benchmark for the United States.
Investors are expected to continue monitoring geopolitical developments, production levels and market fundamentals in the coming days, as these factors are likely to determine whether oil prices extend their recent gains or face renewed downward pressure.
