Ooredoo Algeria Reports Strong Financial Growth in First Half of 2026

Ooredoo Algeria has announced robust financial results for the first half of 2026, posting significant growth in revenue, profitability, customer numbers, and investment as the company continues to strengthen its position in the Algerian telecommunications market.

According to the company, its performance reflects a strategy centered on innovation, operational excellence, and the continuous enhancement of customer experience.

During the first six months of 2026, Ooredoo Algeria generated revenues of 64.2 billion Algerian dinars, up from 56 billion dinars in the same period of 2025, representing a 14.5% year-on-year increase. The company attributed this growth to sustained revenue expansion, prudent cost management, and ongoing improvements in operational efficiency.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached 28 billion dinars, compared with 24.9 billion dinars in the first half of 2025, marking a 12.1% increase.

Ooredoo also continued to expand its customer base, reaching 15.9 million subscribers as of June 30, 2026, compared with 14.5 million a year earlier. The 9.7% growth reflects increasing consumer confidence in the operator’s products and services.

The company significantly increased its investment in Algeria’s telecommunications infrastructure, allocating 14.9 billion dinars during the first half of 2026, compared with 8.6 billion dinars in the corresponding period of 2025. This represents an exceptional 74.1% increase, aimed at enhancing network quality, accelerating technological transformation, and supporting Algeria’s digital ambitions.

Commenting on the results, Ooredoo Algeria Chief Executive Officer Roni Touma said the company’s strong performance demonstrates the effectiveness of its long-term strategy and the dedication of its workforce. He added that sustained financial growth, continued customer expansion, and increased investment reaffirm Ooredoo’s commitment to delivering a superior customer experience while actively contributing to Algeria’s digital transformation.

The company concluded that the first-half results reinforce its ability to maintain sustainable growth, strengthen its competitive position in the national telecommunications market, and continue investing in innovation, connectivity, and the development of Algeria’s digital economy.
