Algeria’s Finance Ministry Denies Rumors on Travel Allowance Changes

Algeria’s Ministry of Finance has firmly denied circulating claims on social media suggesting a possible revision or cancellation of the new travel allowance measures and a return to the previous system.

In an official statement released الأربعاء, the ministry clarified that the document being shared online and attributed to its services is “forged and has no basis in truth,” مؤكدة أنه لم يصدر عن أي من مصالحها. The ministry stressed that all official information related to its activities is published exclusively through its authorized communication channels.

The statement also urged citizens and media outlets to remain vigilant and avoid sharing or relaying unverified information, emphasizing the importance of relying on credible and official sources when seeking news related to public policies and financial measures.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Finance warned that it reserves the right to take all necessary legal actions against individuals or entities involved in producing, نشر, or promoting forged documents that may mislead public opinion or undermine the credibility of state institutions.

This response comes amid growing concern over the spread of misinformation online, with authorities reaffirming their commitment to transparency while calling for greater responsibility in the circulation of information.
