During a Cabinet meeting today, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune directed the government to create more opportunities for startups to benefit from public projects and to combat outdated practices aimed at discouraging successful young entrepreneurs.

A statement issued after the meeting highlighted President Tebboune’s appreciation for the current policies regarding startups. He emphasized that the state will continue to support these young entrepreneurs, who represent a new generation of business leaders relying on technology and scientific methods.

The President instructed the Minister of the relevant sector to expedite the opening of regional agencies dedicated to financing and overseeing startup projects.

President Tebboune also directed the Minister of Startups to provide all necessary facilitation for young project leaders, who have become a source of pride for Algeria both regionally and internationally. He stressed the importance of responding to their concerns, particularly in reducing the time required to establish their enterprises.

Furthermore, the President emphasized that the state’s commitment to creating economic efficiency and productivity for startups requires adapting to the mindset of the new generation, rather than forcing young people to conform to outdated practices. He noted that bureaucracy remains the primary obstacle for these young entrepreneurs.
