Chinese Firm Anton Oilfield Joins Sonatrach for Hydrocarbon Development

Sonatrach, Algeria's national energy group, has formalized a new strategic alliance with the Chinese firm Anton Oilfield Services Group. The two entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Beijing, an event that occurred during a high-level delegation visit to China led by Sonatrach's CEO, Nour Eddine Daoudi. This agreement is designed to structure an expanded cooperation across the hydrocarbons sector and its related services.

The protocol outlines several key areas for collaboration, including evaluating development opportunities for non-conventional resources and marginal fields, alongside implementing enhanced oil recovery (EOR) solutions.
