Academic Analysis Highlights Algerian Solidarity, National Resilience

Professor Soumia Hirèche, a political science and international relations expert at Oran "Mohamed Ben Ahmed" University, has highlighted that the intrinsic values of solidarity among Algerians are a crucial factor in bolstering national stability and resilience. According to her analysis, the widespread response to recent challenges underscored a profound collective immunity and reinforced cohesion within Algerian society, demonstrating the nation's capacity to overcome adversity.

Professor Hirèche noted that instances of national hardship have invariably awakened a spirit of solidarity and brotherhood, uniting the Algerian people in a collective will. This spirit fosters "responsible citizenship," which, combined with the efforts of state institutions such as civil protection and the army, strengthens the overall fabric of national security and social peace. The active participation of citizens in providing support and vigilance is vital for maintaining social cohesion.

This academic perspective underscores that while certain security challenges may target social peace, they ultimately cultivate strong bonds of cooperation between citizens and state bodies. The resulting "collective immunity" empowers Algeria to effectively confront future shocks and strengthens its comprehensive defensive and security capabilities, safeguarding national unity and sovereignty. The analysis posits that these deep-seated values enhance the nation's ability to resist organized crime and external threats.
