President Tebboune Praises National Solidarity for Wildfire Victims

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune lauded the widespread popular solidarity and public support extended to citizens affected by recent wildfires across several eastern and central provinces. Following a visit to the "Dr. Said Chiban" Grand Burns Hospital in Zeralda, where he inspected the condition of injured individuals, President Tebboune stated that the Algerian people's solidarity was a source of pride and demonstrated their unity. He remarked that any prior misjudgment or analysis concerning the Algerian populace was incorrect, underscoring the nation's steadfast spirit.

The President's commendation recognized a nationwide outpouring of support, with citizens, associations, and local authorities mobilizing extensively. In Tizi Ouzou, spontaneous actions by youth, humanitarian organizations, and village committees organized aid collections for affected families in Jijel, gathering essential supplies such as food, clothing, mattresses, and blankets. Similarly, in Mostaganem, a broad movement involving citizens, associations, volunteers, merchants, and economic actors worked to collect and dispatch vital products, including water, food, hygiene items, and medicines, to affected populations. The Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) and Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA) also actively participated in these coordinated efforts, establishing multiple collection points and organizing aid caravans.

President Tebboune also highlighted the collective capabilities mobilized to combat the fires and care for the victims, noting that such calamities are confronted with the combined resources of the state and the people. He praised the unwavering support of the National People's Army and Civil Protection during these trying times, and recognized the high level of care provided by medical professionals at the Grand Burns Hospital. The President renewed his gratitude to all medical teams, civil protection personnel, the National People's Army, National Gendarmerie, and National Security for their contributions in mitigating the disaster's impact, viewing this comprehensive national mobilization as a strong message to any critics of Algeria.
