Senegal, Algeria Deepen Energy and Renewables Cooperation

Algeria and Senegal have advanced their bilateral cooperation in the energy sector following a videoconference meeting between Algerian Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal, and his Senegalese counterpart, El Hadji Abdourahmane Diouf, Minister of Energy and Petroleum. The discussions, held on Monday, focused on exploring avenues to enhance and expand the partnership between the two nations.

According to a communiqué from the Algerian Ministry, the talks specifically addressed strengthening collaboration across the critical domains of energy, electricity, and renewable energies. This bilateral engagement underscores a commitment to fostering mutual development and resource management within these vital sectors.

The two ministers examined specific means to reinforce and broaden the existing cooperation, signaling a constructive step towards deeper ties in sustainable energy development and supply between Algeria and Senegal.
