Minister of Labor: We Are Working on Arrangements to Support Purchasing Power

Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Faisal Ben Taleb, revealed that the government aims to expand social coverage to include the largest number of citizens.

In his speech during an information day on the sector’s achievements and international awards in the field of digitization, held today, Thursday, Ben Taleb emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing all necessary arrangements to support citizens’ purchasing power.

Ben Taleb cited some statistics achieved by the sector, saying, “We have achieved four wage increases between 2020 and 2024, and we have launched a program that includes granting 60,000 rural construction subsidies.”

He continued, “The number of digital services has reached 127 in the labor sector, and we have developed three platforms dedicated to managing the unemployment platform. We have also moved to the second generation of the Chifa card, benefiting more than 30 million citizens.”

The sector has also succeeded in establishing a communication platform with various advisory bodies remotely, in addition to the “Fursati” platform. Today, we are aware of the need to contribute to sustainable development and meet the aspirations of citizens, said Minister Ben Taleb.

The Minister also stressed that his sector faces a real challenge in restoring citizens’ trust in its administration.
