Alavés Star Rabah Proudly Flies Algerian Flag at Milestone

Algerian footballer Abdelrahman Rabah recently marked his 100th match with Spanish club Alavés, proudly celebrating the milestone with the Algerian national flag. This achievement highlights Rabah's unique journey, establishing him as one of the few Algerian players in Spain's top football league, La Liga. The celebration follows his appearance in the sixth round of La Liga against Valencia.

Born in Blida in 1998, Rabah's progression through various football clubs in the Alavés region culminated in his integral role at Deportivo Alavés. After completing his training at the Ibaia academy, he became a key player for the team, notably making his second-division debut in 2022. During that season, Rabah participated in 22 matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist, playing a vital role in Alavés's historic promotion back to the first division.

Following the club's ascent, Rabah continued to contribute significantly, featuring in 23 matches during the 2023-2024 season, a period that also saw his contract with Alavés extended until 2028. His impact was further demonstrated by his decisive goal in a memorable 4-3 comeback victory against Celta Vigo. Rabah's consistent performance has cemented his importance to the team, leading the club to reject external offers during the last transfer window, underscoring his value to both the coach and Alavés. Across his 100 matches with the club, he has recorded 8 goals and 9 assists in various competitions, including La Liga, La Liga 2, and the Copa del Rey.
