Actress Lidia Chebout Earns Best Actress Award at Hurghada Festival

The Algerian film "Kheit Errouh," directed by Youssef Mahsas, has been awarded the Golden Prize for Best Film at the fourth edition of the Hurghada Festival for Youth Cinema. The prestigious award was announced during a press conference that marked the conclusion of the festival's activities, showcasing a significant cultural achievement for national cinema.

In addition to the top film honor, "Kheit Errouh" also saw its lead actress, Lidia Chebout, recognized for her performance, receiving the Best Actress award. These accolades underscore the talent within Algeria's film industry, highlighting both directorial and acting excellence on an international stage.

The official long film competition at the Hurghada Festival featured a diverse selection of nine films from various Arab and foreign countries. The festival's fourth edition, which concluded recently, served as a platform for recognizing cinematic achievements and fostering youth cinema from across the region and beyond, with Algeria's success standing out among the participants.
