Mouloudia d’Alger Dominates MB Rouissat 2-0 in Season Start

Mouloudia d'Alger (MCA) officially commenced their 2026-2027 championship season on Friday evening, securing a 2-0 victory against MB Rouissat at Ali Ammar stadium. The club, whose initial two Ligue 1 fixtures were postponed due to their commitments in the African Champions League, marked their national league entry with a decisive performance, immediately registering their first points of the new season.
The encounter quickly favored the Mouloudéens, with Chahreddine Boukholda opening the scoring in the 6th minute. This early lead provided a crucial advantage for MCA, who then managed attempts from MB Rouissat to equalize. Despite the intentions of the newly promoted team, Mouloudia maintained their lead through solid organization, concluding the first half with a narrow but secure advantage.
Upon resuming play, MCA swiftly extended their lead. Substitute Ben Ahmed Kouhili found the net in the 60th minute, netting the team's second goal. This secured the victory for the Algerian champions, allowing them to manage the remainder of the match with increased assurance.
This victory ensures that Mouloudia d'Alger, the defending champions, begin their title defense in the most favorable manner. The club continues its positive trajectory, having already progressed through the first preliminary round of the Champions League against their Nigerien opponents, reinforcing their strong start to the sporting calendar.
