Minister Hattab Affirms Ongoing Support for Jijel Fire Victims

During a working visit to Jijel province, Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Mohamed Hattab, emphasized the state's ongoing commitment to supporting citizens affected by recent fires. He affirmed that various state resources continue to be mobilized to provide care and accompaniment to the victims, in line with directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. This comprehensive approach underscores the government's dedication to ensuring the well-being of its citizens during exceptional circumstances.

Minister Hattab clarified that the support extends beyond immediate emergency response, encompassing a continuous and active accompaniment designed to guarantee access to all entitled rights and services. This includes critical provisions in social protection, health coverage, and other services falling under the sector's purview. Measures implemented by the Ministry involve facilitating social and health service access, increasing the presence of social security offices in affected regions through mobile convoys, and establishing direct communication channels, including a dedicated green hotline, to engage with citizens.

The Minister stressed the imperative for all sector services to closely monitor affected citizens' cases on the ground and to address their concerns promptly. This ensures that no individual impacted by the fires remains without guidance or support. This approach signifies a new vision for the Ministry of Labor, focusing on transitioning from mere file management to a citizen-centric public service model that prioritizes listening to concerns and intervening proactively. The field presence of the Ministry's services in affected areas will be maintained until all registered needs are fully addressed, reaffirming the state's steadfast social and solidarity role toward its citizens.
