President Tebboune Approves Interior Ministry Cadre Reorganization

The Algerian Ministry of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, under the leadership of Minister Saïd Saioud, has completed a partial reorganization of its local administrative cadres. This initiative received the direct approval of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, signaling a significant move in reinforcing local governance across the country.

This administrative adjustment specifically targeted General Inspectors of Wilayas, Directors of Regulation and General Affairs, and Directors of Local Administration. According to a Ministry statement, the reorganization is designed to strengthen local communities with skilled human resources capable of effectively contributing to various crucial development programs. A key objective also includes empowering young professionals to assume qualitative supervisory positions within the local administration structure.

The partial reorganization involved several key appointments and movements. Among General Inspectors of Wilayas, thirteen cadres were promoted, three transferred, and one's duties were terminated. For Directors of Regulation and General Affairs, fifteen cadres saw promotion, four were transferred, one's duties were terminated, and one was referred for retirement. Furthermore, fourteen Directors of Local Administration received promotions, one was transferred, one's duties were terminated, and another was recalled for different assignments. These comprehensive changes are intended to bolster supervision at the local level, aligning with requirements for executing development programs and elevating local administrative efficiency.
