World Champion Settati Honored by General Chengriha for Success

General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army and Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, formally honored Contractual First Sergeant Jamal Settati. The recognition took place this Saturday morning at the headquarters of the People's National Army Staff, celebrating Settati's triumph as the 800-meter world champion. His victory was achieved on September 13 at the "Ultimate" Elite World Championship held in Budapest, Hungary.

During the ceremony, General Chengriha conveyed the congratulations of the President of the Republic, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense. This historic achievement, as noted by the General, underscored the elevated standing of Algerian sports in this particular discipline. General Chengriha further encouraged Settati to continue his efforts, aiming for top positions in upcoming competitions and to proudly represent the national flag at various international sporting events.
