Air Algérie Confirms Direct Algiers-Berlin Flights for Winter

Air Algérie has confirmed that its direct flight route connecting Algiers with Berlin, Germany, will be maintained without layovers throughout the 2026/2027 winter season. The service, which was officially inaugurated on September 14, 2026, operates weekly and aims to enhance the company's presence in the German market, improve travel options, and foster economic and social exchanges between the two nations.
Initially, a previous program update in late August had suggested a modification for the winter schedule, proposing a triangular route from Algiers to Frankfurt, then to Berlin, and back to Algiers, utilizing a Boeing 737-700, effective October 31, 2026. However, Air Algérie later deposited new modifications, reported on September 19, confirming its decision to continue the Algiers-Berlin service as a direct, non-stop flight.
From October 25, 2026, the weekly direct service will be operated by a Boeing 737-600. The flight, designated AH2072, departs Algiers for Berlin every Sunday at 10:15, arriving at 12:55. The return flight, AH2073, departs Berlin at 13:55 on the same day, reaching Algiers at 16:35. This direct connection supplements Air Algérie's existing four weekly frequencies to Frankfurt, bringing the total number of weekly flights between Algeria and Germany to five.
