Tebboune Initiates Partial Movement in Wali, Secretary General Roles
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has initiated a partial movement and new appointments within the bodies of walis, delegated walis, and general secretaries of wilayas. This administrative restructuring, announced by the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Transport on Wednesday, was conducted in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, aimed at enhancing national governance and administrative efficiency across the country.
The presidential decree included the appointment of several new walis to various wilayas. Among those named as walis are Abdelwahab Bertima for Tiaret, Nacer Zougari for El Kantara, Djamal Boudjeza for Bir El Ater, Abdelkrim Ben Baba Ali for El Aricha, Toufik Daoudi for Ksar Chellala, Amar Merzouki for Aïn Oussara, Brahim Ouadi for Messaad, Hamid Khelfaoui for Ksar El Boukhari, Amrani Attal for Bou Saâda, and Abdrebi Mouden for El Abiodh Sidi Cheikh. Additionally, Nadir Beteïn was appointed as a delegated wali for the administrative district of Baraki in Algiers wilaya.
The comprehensive administrative adjustment also involved the termination of functions for several delegated walis. These included Saïd Boudhab in the former administrative district of Barika, Boualem Allouache in the former administrative district of Aïn Oussara, and Adel Daoudi in the former administrative district of Messaad. These changes reflect a strategic reallocation of administrative personnel.
Furthermore, a series of appointments were made for general secretaries of wilayas. New general secretaries include Mohamed Saber for Sétif, Mohamed El Amine Riah for Saïda, Hamza Benzeghioua for Annaba, Abdelkader Smaoui for Illizi, Mohamed Enssari for Timimoun, Yahia Hadjadj for Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Abdeslem Mouhoubi for Aflou, Othmane Mahieddine for Barika, Karim Amedjekouh for Bir El Ater, Chakib Mhamdioua for El Aricha, Adel Rehail for Ksar Chellala, Zitouni Boudjellal for Aïn Oussara, Nacera Abderrahmane for Messaad, and Hassina Kaci for Ksar El Boukhari, strengthening administrative leadership at the wilaya level.
