Samsung, ESI Launch 2026 AI Innovation Campus

Samsung Electronics Algeria and the National Higher School of Computer Science (ESI) officially launched the 2026 edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus on October 3, 2026, during a ceremony held in Algiers. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Min Kyung-tae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Algeria, marking a significant step in technological education. This edition brings together 50 ESI students for an intensive curriculum focused on artificial intelligence.

The 2026 program features an intensive 420-hour course, distinguished by the introduction of a new 40-hour module dedicated to generative artificial intelligence. This specialized module is designed to meet market demands for generative AI skills, supplementing foundational instruction in data science, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. The curriculum emphasizes practical application through Capstone Projects, enabling students to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems, develop solutions, and present their work to a panel of academic and professional experts.

This edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus marks an advance in its development in Algeria, benefiting from institutional support from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Algeria, in addition to Samsung Electronics Algeria and ESI. This involvement highlights the importance of cooperation among academic, technological, and institutional entities to foster evolving digital competencies. Samsung's commitment to Algeria's digital ecosystem aims to cultivate a new generation of talents capable of mastering future technologies and contributing to the country's technological and economic advancement. The program has previously demonstrated its impact, with the 2025 edition yielding innovative projects such as Rayili, a sentiment analysis platform for Algerian dialect discussions on social networks.
