Sonelgaz has announced the connection of nearly 2,000 schools, universities, and training institutions to electricity and gas, preparing for the upcoming 2024 school and social year, mobilizing all its resources to ensure the success of this crucial period.
The statement from Sonelgaz confirmed that 1,783 educational institutions have been connected to electricity, while 1,944 institutions have been supplied with gas. Additionally, 71 university structures have been connected to electricity, and 79 university facilities now have access to gas.
Moreover, 57 vocational training centers have been connected to electricity, and 74 institutions have been supplied with gas.
This initiative is in line with directives from the country’s leadership, aiming to “actively contribute to the success of the upcoming school and social season.” Sonelgaz has implemented a special plan, mobilizing all its human and material resources to ensure that educational institutions, universities, and vocational training centers are fully connected to energy services, particularly those expected to be operational for the new academic year starting on September 22.
Sonelgaz emphasized the importance of taking all necessary measures to ensure the timely connection of these institutions, adding that there will be no requirement for advance payment for the connection fees, ensuring that students and pupils are provided with the best possible learning conditions.
