Strengthening Cooperation Between Algeria and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the African Creative Days “CANEX 2024”, Algeria’s Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, held discussions on Thursday with the Director-General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), Sidi Ould Tah.

According to a statement from the ministry, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Algeria and BADEA, especially in financing projects that contribute to expanding trade and exports to African markets.

The two sides emphasized the importance of supporting strategic projects related to food security, aiming to strengthen production capacities and ensure their sustainability. Minister Zitouni stressed that investments in food security go beyond meeting domestic needs, as they also play a pivotal role in stimulating economic growth and increasing trade exchanges with African nations.

Zitouni further highlighted the significance of working with BADEA to develop an integrated economic system that serves mutual interests. He pointed out that such economic partnerships are essential to achieving sustainable economic growth and broadening investment opportunities across the African continent.
