Coach Petković Brings Back Key Players, Introduces New Talent to Algeria’s National Team

Algeria’s national team coach, Vladimir Petković, has announced the squad for the November training camp, which includes two crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers against Equatorial Guinea and Liberia, set for the fifth and sixth rounds of the tournament’s qualifiers.

Notably, the lineup sees the return of goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja, along with midfielders Abdelli, Chaïbi, and Bilal Belkebla. The squad also welcomes a new face: Amin Chiakha, a promising player from Denmark’s Copenhagen FC, who has received his first-ever call-up to represent “Les Fennecs” (The Desert Foxes).

Petković’s decision to bring back experienced players alongside emerging talents underscores Algeria’s commitment to both solidifying their roster with seasoned athletes and integrating fresh talent for long-term national team growth.
