Members of the Council of the Nation Begin Deliberations on the 2025 Finance Bill

Algiers – Members of Algeria’s Council of the Nation commenced discussions on the 2025 Finance Bill on Thursday in a public session chaired by Council President Mr. Salah Goudjil. The Finance Bill, presented by Finance Minister Laziz Fayed, outlines Algeria’s fiscal strategy and budget allocations for the coming year. Several government officials were also present at the session.

The general debate on the bill will extend into Thursday afternoon and continue through Friday morning and afternoon. Members are expected to explore various facets of the bill, assessing key allocations and fiscal adjustments designed to advance Algeria’s economic stability and growth.

This follows the approval of the Finance Bill by the People’s National Assembly, where members voted in favor of the proposed budget with a majority on Wednesday after a session devoted to discussing amendments.
