National Gendarmerie forces in Burj Bou Arreridj have dismantled a criminal network specializing in house robberies. A successful field operation led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of stolen goods.
The operation was launched following intelligence received by the National Gendarmerie’s regional detachment in El Main, reporting suspicious individuals aboard a utility vehicle loaded with furniture and household appliances. Gendarmerie units immediately formed a patrol and devised a plan to monitor the vehicle.
This led to the vehicle’s interception and confirmation that the items were stolen earlier that day from three homes in the municipality of El Main. The swift action by the Gendarmerie prevented further losses for the residents.
Further investigation and inquiries led to the identification and arrest of the gang members. All stolen items were recovered and returned to their rightful owners. The victims expressed their gratitude to the National Gendarmerie for their prompt and effective response.
The suspects will be presented before the competent judicial authorities upon completion of all legal procedures. This successful operation underscores the commitment of the National Gendarmerie to maintaining security and combating crime in the region. The authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security services.
