Minister Bouslimani Visits Al-Ahram for Media Cooperation

Algeria's Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, recently concluded a visit to the headquarters of the Al-Ahram institution in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The visit took place on the sidelines of his participation in the 56th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which convened on November 3 and 4 at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. During his tour of Al-Ahram's various departments, Minister Bouslimani engaged with officials and journalists, gaining insights into the newspaper's management and its continued prominence despite challenges from digital media and artificial intelligence.

A central focus of the visit was discussions with Mohamed Fayez Farahat, Chairman of Al-Ahram's Board of Directors. Minister Bouslimani emphasized the importance of elevating bilateral media cooperation to reflect the excellent political relations between Algeria and Egypt. This strategic alignment, he noted, is in accordance with the high-level directives from the presidents of both countries, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The discussions explored practical steps to deepen these ties, including the potential for a cooperation agreement between Algeria's Ech-Chaab newspaper and Egypt's Al-Ahram. Such an agreement would further cement the positive and constructive initiatives aimed at strengthening media collaboration between the two nations, reinforcing their excellent diplomatic bonds.
