Algerian Minister of Industry Farid Kourtel hosted Raoui Beji, Chairman of Stellantis Algeria, and a company delegation on Thursday in Algiers. The meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters with several officials present, centered on avenues to enhance local integration within the automotive manufacturing sector and expand the network of industrial subcontracting.
A Ministry statement confirmed that a key objective of the discussions was to broaden the industrial subcontracting base. This initiative aims to actively involve local manufacturers of auto parts and accessories in the production chain, thereby supporting the development of the national industrial fabric and reinforcing the automotive industry in Algeria.
