OPEC+ Countries Affirm Stable Oil Output for December 2026
OPEC+ countries, including Algeria, have decided to maintain oil production levels for December 2026. Algeria's specific quota will remain at 1.007 million barrels per day for the third consecutive month.

Seven OPEC+ member countries, including Algeria, have collectively decided to maintain their oil production levels for December 2026, marking the third consecutive month of unchanged output. This agreement was reached during a recent ministerial coordination meeting held via videoconference, where Algeria's Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, participated alongside counterparts and representatives from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman, and Russia.
The decision ensures that Algeria's oil production will remain at 1.007 million barrels per day (mb/d) throughout December 2026. Discussions during the meeting focused on the international oil market's current situation, its evolving prospects, and a comprehensive evaluation of its fundamentals, all set against a backdrop of global economic and energy uncertainties.
Following their shared assessment of current market conditions and short-term outlook, the participating nations concluded that maintaining existing production levels was appropriate. The countries further reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing close coordination and regular consultations to continuously monitor the international oil market and assess its conditions. The next ministerial meeting for these seven OPEC+ countries is scheduled for November 29, 2026.
