West Africa Trade Zone in Tindouf Set for Year-End Handover
The Tindouf Free Trade Zone, a 200-hectare strategic project, is expected to be handed over before the end of the current year, aiming to boost trade with West African nations.

The Tindouf Free Trade Zone is slated for handover before the end of the current year, as announced by Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig. This initiative is designed to foster international trade exchanges, particularly national exports, with countries across West Africa.
Spanning 200 hectares, this strategic project underscores Algeria's commitment to regional economic integration. Its foundation stone was laid in 2024 by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, highlighting a collaborative effort in its inception.
The development of the Tindouf Free Trade Zone aligns with the state's broader vision to promote and enhance commercial ties with Mauritania and the wider West African region. The Minister's statement was made during a public session of the Council of the Nation, presided over by Azzouz Nasri, where oral questions were addressed.
