El Bina National President Affirms Uncompromising National Stances

Dr. Abdelkader Benkourina, President of the El Bina National movement, affirmed that Algeria's national positions are not open to compromise under any circumstances. During a popular gathering held in anticipation of the upcoming local elections, Benkourina underscored the deep historical roots of the Algerian nation and declared that defending its sovereignty and national memory is a collective responsibility for all generations. He strongly criticized any form of foreign dependence, asserting that it is unacceptable for national stances to be subject to bargaining.

Benkourina emphasized the Algerian people's awareness and loyalty to their history, predicting their unwavering support for the army, President, and state institutions should national sovereignty or borders face any threat or breach. He called for the reinforcement of what he termed the “sacred bond between the army and the nation” as essential for national defense, recalling the sacrifices of martyrs and mujahideen during the liberation revolution.

In the context of the forthcoming local elections scheduled for November 28, Dr. Benkourina urged citizens to participate actively and to elect candidates capable of assuming responsibility and implementing desired changes. He contended that electoral abstention does not serve the public interest, instead allowing the perpetuation of existing local leadership. He positioned the building of Algeria as a shared responsibility involving the authority, the populace, and the opposition. He encouraged citizens to contribute to reforms through electoral engagement by choosing honest and competent individuals to lead local councils.

Furthermore, Benkourina defended Algeria's social achievements, stating that the social welfare state is a historical trust bequeathed by the martyrs in the November 1st statement. He noted that, despite existing challenges, Algeria has achieved social gains that place it in a better position than numerous other countries, citing housing programs for needy segments of the population as evidence of the state's commitment to its social and solidarity-based choices. He acknowledged existing shortcomings but stressed the importance of objectivity and unified efforts to elevate the country further, combat corruption and nepotism, create opportunities for skilled individuals, and support vulnerable groups, including widows and orphans.
