Algeria secured the second position among the most booked flight-only travel destinations from France in September. This data, emerging from a study on bookings through online agencies Bourse des Voyages and Bourse des Vols, was cited by Air Journal on October 11. The ranking specifically covers "vols secs," or flight-only tickets, without additional services like accommodation or transfers.

Algiers International Airport specifically moved into second place, experiencing a slight year-over-year decrease of 4%. This consistent flow of bookings is primarily supported by what is termed "affinity flows," which describes travel by members of the strong Algerian community residing in France. This community frequently undertakes trips to visit family and relatives in Algeria, underpinning the sustained demand for air travel between the two nations.

The strong travel affinity stemming from its large diaspora in France underscores Algeria's unique standing in the travel market. While other destinations such as La Réunion (Saint-Denis) and Thailand (Bangkok) also featured prominently in September's rankings, Algeria's consistent booking volume is primarily sustained by visitors reconnecting with family and friends.
