International Theatre Event in Béjaïa Focuses on Anthropology

The International Theatre Festival of Béjaïa has initiated a scientific international symposium dedicated to exploring the intricate relationship between theatre and anthropology. This cultural event highlights Algeria's commitment to intellectual discourse within the arts.

The symposium, held at the main public reading library 'Tahar Amrane' in Béjaïa, specifically delves into the pivotal roles of the body and space in the creation of meaning within theatrical contexts. This academic approach aims to deepen understanding of performance and human expression.

By fostering such focused discussions, the festival contributes to the enrichment of Algeria's cultural landscape. This initiative underscores the nation's ongoing efforts to support vibrant artistic and scholarly engagement, promoting a deeper appreciation for both traditional and contemporary theatrical forms.
