Algeria to Host Mozambique at “Hussein Ait Ahmed” Stadium

Algiers, Algeria – The Algerian Football Federation has confirmed that the national football team, known as “Les Fennecs,” will continue hosting their home matches at the Hussein Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou. This decision follows the federation’s recent meeting on Thursday.

Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers

Algeria is set to face Botswana and Mozambique in their upcoming home fixtures on March 17 and March 25, 2025, respectively. These matches are part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers (African Zone, Group G).

A Venue of Success

The decision to continue using the Hussein Ait Ahmed Stadium comes after the venue successfully hosted Algeria’s match against Liberia during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The stadium provided an exceptional atmosphere, earning praise for its state-of-the-art facilities and the passionate support of Algerian fans.

Algeria currently leads Group G alongside Mozambique, setting the stage for a highly anticipated encounter that could play a decisive role in securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
