Algiers – The Minister of Health, Mr. Abdelhak Saihi, was received on Wednesday in Lilongwe by the President of Malawi, Mr. Lazarus Chakwera. The visit, part of an official mission, was carried out in his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
On this occasion, the Algerian minister delivered “a written message from the President of the Republic to his Malawian counterpart, conveying warm fraternal greetings and profound appreciation.” The message reaffirmed President Tebboune’s commitment to “strengthening ties of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries to serve their shared interests,” the statement added.
For his part, the Malawian President praised his prior visit to Algeria, expressing a deep desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and mining. He underscored the importance of these sectors in fostering sustainable economic development and generating mutual benefits for the peoples of both nations.
The Malawian President entrusted Minister Saihi with conveying his heartfelt greetings and profound respect to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the statement concluded.
