Launch of Technical Committee to Evaluate Algeria-Tunisia Border Region Roadmap Implementation
Algiers – The technical committee tasked with evaluating the implementation of the roadmap from the first session of the Algeria-Tunisia Bilateral Border Region Development Committee commenced its work today, Tuesday, in the Tunisian city of Tabarka. This was detailed in a statement issued by the Algerian Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Development.
The statement emphasized that the meeting strengthens Algerian-Tunisian bilateral cooperation. It follows the outcomes of the December 20, 2024, meeting in Tunis between Algeria’s Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Development, Mr. Ibrahim Merad, and his Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Khaled Nouri.
The first session of the Bilateral Committee on the Development and Promotion of Border Regions was held in Algeria from January 29 to 31, 2024. This follow-up meeting, taking place over two days, brings together senior officials from the Interior Ministries of both nations, along with governors from the border regions of Algeria and Tunisia.
