Algiers, January 16, 2025 – Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call from the European Union Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs, Dubravka Šuica, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
The statement noted that the discussion provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange analyses and viewpoints on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest. Topics included matters related to security, development, and stability within the Euro-Mediterranean region.
This high-level communication reflects Algeria’s ongoing engagement with European partners in addressing common challenges and fostering collaboration to ensure peace and progress across the Mediterranean region.
