Algiers – Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, held a meeting on Thursday in Algiers with a delegation of National People’s Assembly (APN) deputies representing the electoral district of Boumerdes. The discussion focused on addressing key energy-related concerns, particularly the expansion of energy connections to underserved areas and agricultural investments in the region, according to a statement from the ministry.
The meeting brought together MPs Kamel Kourichi, Fathi Jenati, Nabil Rahiche, Abdelrahmane Kadri, Rabah Daimallah, Abdelnasser Baaziz, and Nabil Ouradi. The session was also attended by Secretary of State for Mines, Mrs. Karima Tafer, along with senior ministry officials.

- He highlighted that 135 agricultural farms in Boumerdes have already been connected to the electricity network, with plans to continue implementing pre-established programs to enhance energy services and foster local development.
- The Minister assured that all proposals and concerns raised by the MPs will be reviewed and addressed to benefit the region and its residents.
