Algiers – The State Shareholding Council held a meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Nacer Arabawi, dedicated to the transfer of real estate assets and obligations of the public economic institution “DIVINDUS Industrial Zones” to the National Agency for Industrial Real Estate, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
The statement read: “Prime Minister Mr. Nacer Arabawi presided over the 194th session of the State Shareholding Council held today, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. This session was devoted to the transfer of real estate assets and obligations of the public economic entity ‘DIVINDUS Industrial Zones’ to the National Agency for Industrial Real Estate.”
This operation will enable the new agency to officially commence its activities and undertake the responsibilities entrusted to it in the development and management of industrial zones and activity areas belonging to state-owned properties, as per the same source.
Furthermore, the agency will contribute to strengthening the supply of industrial real estate intended for investment, providing renewed momentum to efforts aimed at supporting and promoting investment, within the framework of the new economic real estate system established by the President of the Republic.
The State Shareholding Council meeting was convened in accordance with the provisions of Article 31 of Executive Decree 23-488, which establishes, organizes, and governs the functioning of the National Agency for Industrial Real Estate, the statement added.
This decision marks a significant step in streamlining the management of industrial real estate and enhancing Algeria’s investment climate.
