Algiers – The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, congratulated today, Thursday, in a phone call, his brother, the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Kais Saied, on the occasion of the celebration by the Tunisian people of the 69th anniversary of Independence Day, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement read: “Today, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, congratulated in a phone call his brother, the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Kais Saied, on the occasion of the celebration by the Tunisian people of the 69th anniversary of Independence Day.”
On this occasion, both presidents expressed their “satisfaction with the excellent level of relations reached between the two countries in recent years” and exchanged congratulations for the holy month of Ramadan, wishing both the Algerian and Tunisian peoples continued prosperity and well-being.
Additionally, the President of the Republic extended his “sincere condolences to his Tunisian counterpart for the loss of a close relative,” according to the same source.
