Algiers, Algeria – In a display of diplomatic solidarity and shared concern, Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call on Wednesday evening from his Jordanian counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi . The two ministers engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views and analyses regarding the escalating repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran .During the discussion, both ministers expressed profound concern over the dangerous escalation of the situation in the region . They unequivocally reiterated their condemnation of this aggression and called upon the UN Security Council to take immediate and decisive action, fulfilling its responsibilities to maintain international peace and security .The high-level communication also served as an opportunity for Algeria and Jordan to coordinate their efforts in anticipation of an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) . This crucial meeting, focused on developments in the Middle East, is scheduled to convene on June 21 in Istanbul, highlighting the commitment of Algeria and its allies to addressing regional crises through collective action and international platforms .
