Algiers-based water utility SEAAL has signed a series of strategic agreements aimed at enhancing open innovation and subcontracting practices to improve public water and sanitation services. The deals, concluded with Algeria Venture, the National Agency for Entrepreneurship Support (NASDA), and several micro-enterprises, include frameworks for startup training in environmental economics and access to SEAAL’s operational challenges. These partnerships will allow young innovators to propose high-tech solutions while also opening subcontracting opportunities via NASDA’s digital platform. The agreements reflect a joint governmental push toward integrating startups in economic projects, with a first initiative set to focus on seawater desalination.
