Chaib Calls from Turkmenistan for Support to Landlocked Developing Countries to Enhance Their Role in Global Value Chains

From Awaza, Turkmenistan, Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, stressed the need to provide technical and technological support to landlocked developing countries to boost their integration into global value chains. Speaking at a high-level roundtable during the UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, Chaib highlighted Algeria’s efforts in infrastructure projects to connect African landlocked nations and reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and balanced global economic system. He also noted Algeria’s preparations to host the African Intra-Trade Fair from September 4 to 10, 2025, as a platform to showcase Africa’s trade potential.
