Public Media Leadership Changes See Allali at National Radio

The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, on Thursday oversaw the official installation of Hicham Allali as the new Director General of National Radio. Mr. Allali assumes leadership following his designation to the role, with the ceremony attended by Kamel Sidi Said, advisor to the President of the Republic responsible for the General Directorate of Communication.

Mr. Allali succeeds Adel Salakdji, who had previously served in the position for two years. These leadership adjustments within Algerian public media follow recent government changes, including the appointment of Mohamed Bouslimani as Minister of Communication two days prior, as part of a partial cabinet reshuffle enacted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In a related development, other public media institutions also saw new leadership, with Lamine Chikhi designated as the new Director General for the AL24 News channel. Mr. Chikhi, a journalist with previous experience as a Reuters correspondent in Algiers, replaces Ahmed Kateb, signaling a broader renewal in the management of national information outlets.
