Algeria and Somalia have taken a significant step forward in their bilateral relationship following a high-level meeting in Algiers between the two nations’ foreign ministers. The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a joint ministerial committee tasked with strengthening cooperation across critical sectors including defense, security, education, vocational training, and livestock development.
Both countries expressed gratitude for their “historic and deeply rooted” partnership. Somalia reaffirmed its appreciation for Algeria’s consistent and steadfast support during its reconstruction efforts, while Algerian officials pledged continued solidarity and cooperation.
