Algiers – On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the committee tasked with reviewing appeals from tourism and travel agencies deemed ineligible to organize Hajj activities for the 1447 AH/2026 season convened at the headquarters of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, according to a statement by the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, as reported by Sabaq Press.
The statement clarified that the meeting, held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, was chaired by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments and attended by representatives from various sectors involved in organizing the Hajj.
On August 27, 2025, the National Office for Hajj and Umrah announced the preliminary list of tourism and travel agencies qualified to participate in organizing the Hajj for the 1447 AH/2026 season. It also set a period for submitting written appeals to the Hajj Activities Directorate, starting from the announcement date until August 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
