Algiers – On Sunday, August 31, 2025, Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the National Construction Movement (El-Bina), affirmed his party’s support for the government led by Acting Prime Minister Seifi Gharib, according to a report by Sabaq Press.
During a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, Bengrina stated, “The National Construction Movement will stand as a pillar of support for the government to implement an executive plan for an ambitious, victorious, secure, and stable Algeria.”
He emphasized that the movement will back the government in strengthening national security, aiming to “provide hope for unemployed youth, support persecuted and fearful businesspeople, and lead a governmental ‘commando’ to elevate Algeria to the ranks of emerging nations.”
Bengrina added, “We are against a government that shirks its national duties and responsibilities toward the nation and the people.”
He also congratulated Industry Minister Seifi Gharib on his appointment as Acting Prime Minister, wishing him “success and prosperity.”
In a different context, Bengrina stressed that “the time has come to put an end to the non-innocent maneuvers aimed at creating scarcity and holding the Algerian state solely responsible, which target manipulating the needs of Algerians and harming their purchasing power, practiced by certain dubious import lobbies for narrow interests.”
He noted that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune exposed these tactics in his recent decision regarding the tire import file, adding, “How do we explain the sudden appearance of significant quantities of stored tires as soon as the government gave the green light for imports?”
