The statement clarified that “Acting Prime Minister Seifi Gharib welcomed, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Government Palace, South Africa’s Minister of Industry and Competition, Parks Tau, who is visiting Algeria as part of his country’s participation in the Intra-African Trade Fair, held from September 4 to 10, 2025.” The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm “the distinguished strategic nature of the friendly and cooperative relations between Algeria and South Africa, while reviewing ways to enhance bilateral partnerships across various fields, in line with the shared vision of the two countries’ leaders, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, particularly the outcomes of the state visit to Algeria in December 2024,” according to the same source.
