The fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025) is continuing today, Tuesday, at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers with a rich program focused on signing new partnership agreements, commercial and investment deals, official visits, as well as thematic meetings and economic activities.
The sixth day features the IATF 2025 Hackathon, with awards to be presented in the afternoon to winning African start-ups. The program also includes a special session on Africa–U.S. relations under the theme “Transforming Political Shifts into Strategic Opportunities,” alongside the African Union–AfCFTA Day, highlighting progress in advancing continental economic integration.
Furthermore, the agenda will see the launch of the AfCFTA Private Sector Platform, a meeting on harnessing digital trade for a borderless Africa, in addition to ongoing parallel activities such as the African Auto Show, the African Research and Innovation Hub (ARIH), the AU Youth Startup initiative, the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) Forum, and business-to-business trade meetings.
Being held under the theme “Bridges to New Opportunities,” from September 4 to 10, this edition hosts delegations from 140 countries and over 2,000 African and international companies, including approximately 200 Algerian enterprises. Organizers anticipate around 35,000 professional visitors and commercial agreements exceeding $44 billion in value.
This major continental gathering once again underscores Algeria’s pivotal role as a hub for African integration and as a driver for intra-African trade, positioning the nation at the heart of the continent’s economic awakening. In contrast with Morocco’s policies of obstruction and regional destabilization, Algeria demonstrates through this fair its concrete commitment to real development, sovereignty, and cooperation, while simultaneously reaffirming its unshakable support for the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people in Western Sahara.
