Algeria’s para-athletics team delivered a stellar performance at the 2025 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Tunis, securing 16 medals – eight gold, three silver and five bronze. Gasmi Mounia won the shot put with a new African record of 5.70 m, while Fakhr Eddine Thelaidjia, Ighil Ahmed Abdelmalek and Abdelhadi Boudra captured gold in the 400 m and 5 000 m events. Veteran Mohamed Berrahal set a world and African record in the discus throw.
